How to Contribute
Every gift makes a difference at Stevenson University. Whether you make a one-time gift, sign up for a recurring donation, or include Stevenson University in your estate plans, your gift will help prepare our students to graduate ready for a successful career. Your donation to the library will help provide additional academic resources and support to the entire Stevenson community!
Making a gift to the library is simple:
- Go to Stevenson's GiveCampus page.
- Under "Designation: Make your selection(s)," choose "Capital Projects," then "Philip A. Zaffere Library."
- Fill out the remainder of the form as directed
Gifts can be a valuable addition to the collection. Some donated materials, however, are of limited value. Gifts are accepted under the following conditions:
- All materials become the property of the Stevenson University Philip A. Zaffere Library.
- Acceptance of materials is made with the understanding that there are no limiting conditions or reservations regarding their use or disposal.
- If the materials are not added to the collection, the library reserves the right to exchange, donate, sell, or discard the items as appropriate. All proceeds from the sale of donated materials directly benefit the Zaffere Library.
- Acceptance or rejection of gifts is based on the same criteria as purchased materials. Some examples of materials which are not considered viable additions to the collection include mass market paperbacks, outdated textbooks, serials to which the library does not subscribe, foreign language materials which do not support the curriculum, religious literature with limited research potential, and any materials in an outdated format.
- All donations are accepted based on their condition. Materials that show the presence of mold, or are deteriorating as the result of acid paper, are not accepted.
- Multiple copies or duplicate copies of items already in the collection are not accepted.
- The Library and its staff does not offer appraisals, nor can it estimate a gift’s value. In addition, the library will not provide an itemized list of donated materials.
- Delivery of gifts should be made only with prior arrangement.
