Accessibility
The Library is committed to providing inclusive, equitable access to our collections, services, and spaces for all users. As part of this commitment, we work to identify, remove, and prevent barriers to digital and physical library access. If you encounter barriers in accessing library spaces, collections, or services, please contact the Library Director.
The Library building is one story and can be accessed without needing to walk up stairs or use an elevator. General parking is available in the visitor lot south of the Manning Academic Center, a short walk away. There is one dedicated accessible parking space outside the Library (requires handicapped permit).
The Library offers a service desk with two counter heights to accommodate user needs, and Library staff are available to assist users with retrieving materials from the book stacks.
The Library strives to provide a website that is compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standard and is accessible for all. The Library website works best with the latest Chrome, Safari, or Edge browsers. The Library website also contains links to external sites and services managed by third party vendors; while we are not responsible for the accessibility of these linked sites and services, we do our best to select resources that meet accessibility standards. When we subscribe to content from publisher websites, we also aim to make sure that they adhere to accessibility standards.
Library users who require alternative text formats should reach out to the Library Director for assistance. We will endeavor to accommodate your needs. Some requests may require assistance from the Office of Accessibility and Disability Services.
